At Club Tarneit, we are committed to fostering a safe and responsible gaming environment for all our patrons and staff. This policy outlines the proactive approach that the Club is taking to address the challenges of gambling harm. We are dedicated to minimising the impact of gambling harm through engagement, awareness, and support.

Strategic Purpose

The purpose of this Policy is to:

Enhance awareness amongst all staff members about their roles and responsibilities under this policy and the Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct adopted by Club Tarneit.

Guidelines

This policy ensures that every staff member is educated about the responsible handling of gaming. All gaming staff members are obligated to finish or provide proof of completion of the Responsible Service of Gaming Training Course. A Responsible Gaming Officer (RGO) will be always available in the Gaming Room the venue is open.

Club Tarneit maintains a strong collaboration with Responsible Gambling Advocacy Centre (RGAC) to provide recurrent training and education to our staff, enabling them to identify, understand, and respond to signs of gambling harm effectively.

The Club adheres to the Responsible Gaming Service Standards issued by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission and supports the ‘Your Play’ pre-commitment system.

Monitoring and Review

The organisation commits itself to an annual review of this policy. This involves an assessment of the policy’s effectiveness, which is achieved through workers’ feedback and a comprehensive review by management. The management’s review is meant to ascertain whether objectives have been met, as well as identify potential barriers and facilitators to the policy’s continued implementation.
